- If there is an open "next meetup" poll posted to that hashtag: vote your preference. If there is an upcoming "next date" posted: join us.

Our meetup is meant to be a comfortable place for all to hang out. That includes queer, trans, disabled, and BIPOC folks. Bigotry, harassment, and creepiness will get you asked to leave. If something's going wrong, find Melissa or Courtney.
Some of us mask, some of us don't. We don't have a rule either way. Do what feels comfortable for you.
About the Fediverse
Most social sites — such as X/Twitter or Instagram — are centralized and corporate owned. The Fediverse is decentralized and huge. FediDB currently tracks over 42,000 servers, run by thousands of independent operators.
The Fediverse is not owned by a single company. It's an open, federated network of services on the Internet that speak a common communication standard.
There are many services on the Fediverse, such as social messaging, photo sharing, and video sharing. The Mastodon service is most popular for social messaging and chat. If you'd like to join the Fediverse, look into getting onto Mastodon.
